    A Powerful Little Beast!

    It's really loud but I don't care if it works like this! It has a really powerful motor and beater brush! I had my old Dirt Devil for years and bought another when it finally died. This one is easier to use than my old one. You don't have to disconnect the belt to use the crevice attachment. Just pop it on and go! Hopefully it'll last as long as my last one. I'm very happy with it and would definitely purchase it again.

    Weak suction but Ultra loud

    I bought the Dirt Devil Ultra to vacuum places difficult to reach with the crevice tool on the hose of our upright, but it does not do the job. Here is why: 1. The vacuum suction is pitifully weak, but the motor makes an Ultra ear-piercing noise. 2. The dirt collection bag is tiny and not designed to be re-used - yet, the unit came with no spares. Replacements cost about $4 each! 3. Removing/replacing the cloth cover so one can change the dust bag is unreasonably difficult. 4. It has no shoulder harness, so one hand is always tied up just holding it (precluding using it to move things so one can clean beside/behind them). 5. Switching from rotating brush to hose suction is difficult. Much of the precious little vacuum is lost in the over-sized, cumbersome "valve" that has no air-seal. 6. ...

    I use the Dirt Devil in addition to my bigger vacuum for hard to reach places.

    The Dirt Devil is perfect for those hard to vacuum places in your house! The motor is strong and the unit has great suction! Perfect for doing any carpeted stairs in the house. This is my second dirt devil. They come with a 3 year limited warranty but I wouldn’t worry about it breaking too soon! My last Dirt Devil lasted 22 years! The only negative feature is the vacuum is fairly loud!

    Most powerful hand vac period!

    Finally a hand vac that has a power roller brush that is NOT air driven. This little vac has some serious power and gets the job done quick and easy. Plus the 16 foot power cord lets you reach every carpeted step and every piece of furniture in a room without having to unplug and move.
