Synopsis
Pi follows the efforts of genius Max to identify numerical patterns that will explain the universe. Eventually, Max hits on a 216 digit sequence which not only predicts a Wall Street crash but, if the Hassidic Jew in his coffee shop is right, holds the key to the identity of God himself., Pi charts the efforts of mathematical genius Max Cohen to identify certain numerical patterns which, he believes, will explain the workings of the universe. He is pursued by an aggressive Wall Street firm set on financial domination, as well as a Kabblah sect convinced that Max holds the key to the secrets behind their ancient holy texts. Max races to unlock the mathematical cod, hoping to defy the madness that looms before him. This volume also contains Aronofsky's production diary, January 31 1996 - January 14 1998: The Guerilla Diaries, which recounts the trials and tribulations he encountered trying to make a feature film for $60,000.
