Open Box Mac Ethernet Adapter Is A Real Bargain

For those needing to link a Thunderbolt port on your Macintosh to an Ethernet adapter, this is a real find. Appears brand new and first quality in its open box and works flawlessly, at a price less than half of a technically new "sealed box" product. A real find that I highly recommend.

  • I'm happy

Works from the box, doesn't need third-party drivers, and uses thunderbolt polt, so usbs are free. Looks very apple :) made from hard plastic, which is a good thing, since won't scratch other devices in a bag.

  • Thunderbolt to Ethernet Adapter Works Great!

This is the genuine Apple product in its original packaging. It works just as it is supposed to on older Apple notebooks (mine is an early 2014 MacBook Air). The ethernet connection it gives me to my router is 10-times faster than WiFi, giving me a much snappier connection to the internet. Web pages load faster and streaming videos and Zoom sessions play without hesitation and distortion. Works great for me.

  • Should've gotten this long ago

For those who are avid Mac Users, you will recognize the value of finally having a way to connect an ethernet cable directly to your Mac. Especially since, in their infinite wisdom, Apple decided to remove it after 2015, to make the case slimmer. I can't tell you how often I have used docks and the ethernet burns out. This was the way I should've gone the day they started offering it on the market. I simply plugged it into the MBP's thunderbolt port and my Cat-6 into the ethernet port and worked like a charm!

  • Ethernet to Thunderbolt OK!

I am trying to set up a second router as a dd-wrt repeater bridge to connect to a Smart TV in another room. The initial setup requires an Ethernet to Mac connection. As most MacBooks no longer have an Ethernet port, you need the Ethernet to Thunderbolt adapter. To be sure of the connection on a Mac, you might as well go for an Apple adapter. The item shipped to me works perfectly and showed up straight away on System Preferences-Network. Whether I will need it again I don't know, but I guess I may have to re-configure the second router at some stage. Bit I am a happy camper now that second router is up and running allowing wired connections via LAN ports and wireless connections.
