It is worth the price however, Sometimes the streaming stops so you have to restart the show. Also finding the program you want to watch is not easy. You have to go through a lot of the different apps that are loaded to get to what you want. Then when you try to click on it it takes time. You have to be patient. I have been watching movies and old tv shows. Have not been too successful with live TV. I would not give up "basic" cable if you like your favorite stations. I have been watching Downtown Abbey and often have to go back out and restart the stream. I have used the "Free" part with Kodi and that is where all the free apps are, but have to reload each time I want to watch. Exactly what I needed. This is the second 1st generation Fire Stick that I have purchased and it performs exactly as the first one does. Very simple to set up and easy to use. Actually bought this to add to a Samsung Smart TV which originally had YouTube but which later quit offering it. Great product for expanding TV viewing options
This is my second 1st generation Fire TV. I bought my first in 2014 from Amazon. The one I purchased on eBay was brand new, never been opened. Although the set up to my TV was very easy, getting it to run was not! The first problem I encountered was registration for which a phone call to Amazon support resolved this issue for me. The real issue was the software was the original dated back to 2014. I had a long visit with Amazon support to get this resolved since we had to step through each software revision released after what was original installed on my box. Second Generation is Better
I already had a 2nd. generation Firestick. I intentionally bought this 1st gen. unit in order to be able to set it to 480P (not possible with gen2) to see if it worked any better on my lousy internet connection ( about 2.4 MPS upload, 1.2MPS download) . It didn't. While this 1st gen. unit worked as advertised, the 2nd. gen units are much faster to load apps and smoother in operation even at slower internet speeds. Enjoying 2nd Generation Fire TV
Since I’ve learned some of the tricks of the trade concerning the Fire TV, I’ve really been enjoying this product. I just have to get used to using the voice activation feature. All in all, I am quite satisfied with the product. I'm in love with my new Firebox
I took a long time trying to decide to whether they get the stick or the Firebox and I am so glad I got the second generation Firebox. I love the Bluetooth feature which I often change between audio from my soundbar to my headphones depending what time in the evening I'm watching. the flexibility for adding additional application is a terrific feature and benefit for me..
