The original Game Boy brought a world of complex games to a portable system, and the Game Boy Advance can bring those games to vivid life. This white handheld Game Boy Advance is the original classic GBA that can be loved by gamers who had it when it was first released and those who are new to the platform. The Game Boy Advance is built around a 16.78 MHz ARM7TDMI processor. That is supplemented by a Z80 coprocessor that runs at 4Hz for GameBoy mode and 8Hz for GameBoy Color mode, to provide full backward compatibility. The system can check what sort of game is in the cartridge upon booting and can automatically boot in the correct mode. The screen outputs at a 240×160 HQVGA resolution and is capable of displaying red, green, blue, white, and black pixels with combinations for all other colors. That results in 256 possible colors, which can be displayed across up to 128 sprites. The system was designed to emulate earlier SNES hardware and can use sprites as a form of faux-3D graphics similar to the "Mode 7" on the SNES. This can not only allow for excellent 3D representations but can enable the porting of Nintendo classics like Super Mario World and Mario Kart. The system uses a D-pad, two shoulder buttons, two action buttons, and a start button. The video game cartridge is inserted at the top, with Advance games being flush and older titles sticking out slightly. The GBA has numerous accessories that can enhance your enjoyment. The Nintendo link cable enables up to four GBA consoles to be connected for multiplayer competition. The Nintendo Wireless Adapter can also be used and permits up to 40 players at once. The GameCube Link Cable enables the GBA to be used as a second controller and screen for GameCube titles, and some even offer additional minigames. The Game Boy Advance features a rechargeable battery pack that can last for up to 15 hours and can charge quickly with an AC adapter.Product Identifiers

Pretty good GameBoy
The GameBoy has worked pretty well so far. I used it for a shell mod. The lens was pretty good with minimal scratching. The shell had some scratches and needed some cleaning, but I ended up using the front white shell in the mod and replaced everything else. All in all, pretty good. Looking to replace the screen with a backlit one soon.

Fun But Problematic
Screen is way too dark to honestly play in without ideal settings and lots of light for help. I do not recall straining my eyes this much to play it back when it was new and my eyes are not old at all. Other than that, the product is exactly as described and everything works very well. It really is only usable as an indoor machine and only when under a lamp above. other than that, you wont be able to see in sunlight or if visibility around you is low. i personally purchased as a controller for the gameboy to gamecube gimmick for which it works fine, but do not expect to be feeling like a real gamer on this one.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great if you are going to mod/restore.
It has been used heavily, and not cared for by a collector. Despite that, the functionality of the GBA is surprisingly responsive. The screen operates as intended and there is not a large build up of corrosion on the battery connections. For what i intend to do with the unit, it is better than i was hoping for. I will be replacing the shell with one for a backlight screen, and all buttons + pads. A thorough cleaning of internals and it will be like new. great but not perfect

I opened the package and was flooded with emotion
When I was young I used to have the GameBoy glacier and played all my favorite games. Being in a household with seven other kids I hardly ever had anything in which I can call my own. I’ve been meaning to buy one of these consuls for such a long time. And when it arrived it was packaged nice and neatly, and even had the game and a pair of batteries already in the consul. By just having it in my hands it brought back wonderful memories of simpler times. I guess the only concern in which I had was if it was going to work. But that really doesn’t matter because everything is fine. Thank you so much! This is now a toy in which I believe is priceless! Now I just need to get all of my favorite games, lol! 😭😇
