The postal carrier was able to leave it in the package section of our community mail box, so it did not have to be subject to the elements. The map came in a very sturdy cylinder tube and the map was packaged inside a long plastic bag. The plastic ends of the tube were very secure. The map was not damaged. The images and writing were clear and I was able to make out the property of my family who settled in Madison from colonial VA.
