Lovely reprint of a cooking classic
The Fireside Cookbook 60th-anniversary edition brings me back to my childhood. My mother had the 1st edition (I still own that much-used volume), and I loved the charming illustrations, by the husband/wife team of Alice and Martin Provensen, which inspired me to draw and become an illustrator.
