There's nothing like the REAL thing!
I finally added a PanaVise to my workbench after wanting one for over 30 years. It's such a nicely designed tool and adds such "luxury" to be able to HOLD something exactly where you need it to be and have BOTH hands free to work with. The stock black nylon jaws will be good for holding most things, but still could get damaged that replacement would be necessary and just to be prepared, I bought a pair of these genuine #343 jaws knowing that the "fit" will be perfect when/if I have to replace the originals - they even come with four mounting screws, so all you need is a screwdriver for a quick change : ) NICE!!! I've attached a picture of the #301 standard PanaVise attached to the #312 diecast metal base(new OLD stock in "hammertone" grey/green from the 1970s). The black nylon jaws are these #343 parts! HIGHLY recommended!!!!! Dan (atget26)
