    great addirion for my camera

    I got this lenses because I was interested in taking pictures with a wide perspective and also interested in close ups. this lens is a great way to achieve both. they are well made and a great value.

    It's okay, but not the revelation some make it out to be

    In optics, you ALWAYS get what you pay for. If you expect this to give you the same results you would get from using a dedicated, high quality wide angle lens, you're in for some disappointment. That said, most people would probably not notice a huge difference. So if the number of times you have a need for that extra "step back" is limited, and if you're mostly using this for video, it's well worth the money. The step up ring that was shipped with mine was garbage, the thread just kept turning and never held on on the bigger side. I got a quality step up ring to replace it. No catastrophe, just a reminder that this is not a high end product. How could it be, at this price?

    Great for extra range

    I use this on my Panny 25mm f1.7 to get a larger FOV with low light capability and shallow DOF and it works great. Not as sharp around the edges, but this is something you should get to try out at this price

    Use caution when purchasing.

    The lens should have been ready to fit on my Nikon D7000, but when I received it, it would not fit ... and apparently needs an adapter. So that should be indicated/noted in the product description!!!!
