    It works!

    This is the same piece as the $15 item at Home Depot. The only suggestion I would make for anyone using this, and it has nothing to do with the product, is to heat up the tip with a lighter or something before putting it in the pipe, then tap it in a little. That way you get the grip you need even on stubborn extractions.

    I've made this mistake before in buying a 1/2" nipple extractor exactly this long and tapered. In Any 1/2" fitting the tip hits bottom prior to getting a good grab on the nipple to be extracted. And it's obvious to many of us and all who both use regularly And you guys that make them. I'll cut mine to make it worth my money. The 3/4" extractor looks much more useful and make sense. The 3/4" pipe is deeper AND the nipple extractor is wider and grabs almost immediately. OK MY BAD Great for homeowner! lol We are pros. TODD & BEN THE SPECIALISTS, FL

    Works with clean breaks

    Removes broken stubs of 1/2” and 3/4” short nipples. Good for plastic pipes but not strong enough for iron pipes. Not always work. It depends on how stiff the pipe wall is. Good success with on sprinkler one nipple and not on another. It may have been glued.

    Didn't work for me

    I gave this 2 stars only because it might work if the broken nipple was loose in the pipe. I tried for 20 min. to get the nipple out, even used a hammer to get a better bite, but nothing worked. I went back to my old way and it was out in 5 min.

    WORKS LIKE A CHARM

    I was trying to change a riser and in doing so, it broke off with the lower part of the riser still screwed into the connector T. I was sure I was facing an expensive visit from the sprinkler repair man. Then I was told about this neat little tool. You just (gently) push it down into the connector until you feel it grabbing on to the inside of the broken riser. Finesse it a bit and screw out the broken piece. TADA!!!! Didn't even break a fingernail.
