    range burner element & receptacle compatability

    compatibility is very important. manufacturers redesign their elements so they can make extra profit on replacement parts. there's insufficient info. online on compatibility. there're 2 different receptacles that claim compatibility but only 1 works. it depends which model element you're using. element compatability is even more confusing. sellers don't have the technical know how & g.e. don't support older models. they got a cutoff date. this works for models that are very old like in the 60's. sure you can get the matching part from the local appliace. they can order it for you but you'll pay through the nose.

    So-so. Far no match to the original part

    The manufacturer is ERP. The supplied assembly was flimsy. I had to reassemble the receptacle before the porcelain sides would be in a firm contact with each other. When trying to attach the range wires, I discovered that the bolts were over-sized and jamming the receptacle inner contacts. I had to replace the nuts and bolts from the old receptacle. The old receptacle back side was covered with a solid piece of carton. The new receptacle has a thin piece of paper instead. So are the inner contacts made of thinner sheet metal. The price is good, the electric coil is back in business and I hope the receptacle lasts for a while. I will try to avoid buying ERP parts again.

    I can not review this on how it performs over the long term but as of now it works great (a whole week :) ). It fit m7 stove top perfectly and was easy enough to install.
