      The item is a brand new pair of shoes, as described. This purchase went through EBay authenticity verification, which added a few days to the shipping. That process was transparent and included its own tracking notifications. I’m not so sure that this added any level of security for me as this is a highly reliable and well-regarded seller. I feel the seller’s reputation is good enough to not need the third party verification, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker for me, either. Very happy overall.
