The Olympus SP-550 UZ allows devoted amateurs and professional photographers alike to create high-quality photos and videos, providing numerous features that make this digital camera an ideal choice for creative expression. A distinctive feature of this Olympus 7.1 MP camera is its capability to shoot underwater photography when placed in the special Olympus underwater casing. Using this underwater digital camera, the photographer can select Underwater Wide-Angle or Underwater Macro modes, ideal for photographing marine life in their natural habitats. Furthermore, the Olympus 7.1 MP camera offers Macro and Super Macro modes for dry land environments, permitting shooting at distances as close as 3.9 inches and 0.39 inches, respectively. Camera users can increase or decrease the aperture value, from f/2.8 to f/8.0 in normal and macro modes and f/4.5 to f/8.0 for telephoto. The Fine Zoom feature gives the photographer the ability to zoom in up to 27x without reducing image quality. The Olympus SP-550 UZ also features Noise Reduction, which automatically activates when shooting darker subjects or in dim lighting conditions. This Olympus 7.1 MP camera uses autofocus (AF) and autoexposure (AE) locking to ensure the right settings depending on the environments. Focus modes on this camera include Full-time AF, AF Predict, AF Illuminate, and the standard AF as well as Manual Focus (MF). This underwater digital camera even features an alarm clock that activates and turns the camera on for those photographers who follow a daily schedule. This camera has a sleek black body and measures 4.6 inches in width by 3.1 inches in height by 3.1 inches in depth and weighs 12.9 oz.

    Olympus SP 550UZ

    This is my new grab and go camera. I bought it used on eBay and got a really good deal on it. It takes excellent photos--every bit as good as my slr camera. It is very easy to use.
