The Electro-Harmonix Memory Boy is a smooth analog delay that takes its heritage from the 1970s Memory Man and the legendary Deluxe Memory Man. The Memory Boy uses the Deluxe Memory Man as a base, expanding upon it with additional modulation features and an optional expression pedal input for external control over delay time or modulation rate. Memory Boy features a 550ms delay time, allowing you to explore limitless textures. A three-way toggle switch lets you add in vibrato or chorus, or control the delay time with an external expression pedal. Since the early 1970's, Electro-Harmonix has been designing analog delays featured on some of the greatest recordings and used by iconic musicians throughout the world. Any delay takes work to get the sound you want and this little box will get you there.
It is a nice little pedal and is very affordable. I just began my quest for tone after just using a multi FX board for 2 decades. This was a good tool to help me figure out the settings I needed to get the sound I want. One special feature that so many other EHX pedals have is not only the durability but they always have that something extra. With this you can add a modulation effect to the feedback (loops). You can use chorus or tremolo. At first (if you are unversed in delay settings) it might seem it only distorts the signal to something unrecognizable but after playing with all the possibilities you get the sound that was intended and it sounds very cool and VERY ORIGINAL. Delay problem
Sounds good but the feedback has problems when I put a very high value makes a horrible sound, I improve by changing the value to the internal potentiometer of the gain and changing the position of the integrated A / D, also the square wave sounds a little strange, otherwise it is good to be used and for that price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Honest review: What I like: Beautiful cascading analog delay sounds, great control over dry/wet signal, enough delay time for the price. What I like not so much: Touchy controls, crazy modulation past 9 o'clock, lack of frequency blend.
