    The best sound card of all time

    This is the only X-Fi sound card with Windows 10 ready drivers. The X-Fi processor family, featured on Creative Audigy, X-Fi, and Auzentech sound cards, is the only one capable of true hardware accelerated sound. Thus it is the only sound card DSP that actually provides improvements over software acceleration (e.g. built-in software acceleration in games that have it, or OpenAL Soft), and those improvements are massive. Only games using the OpenAL or DirectSound3D sound API (the latter must be converted to OpenAL on Windows Vista and above, using Creative ALchemy) offer these improvements, but this means almost all PC games from the late 1990s to the late 2000s allow sound cards like this one to shine.     Great sound card!

    Creative's last X-fi series card with Open AL. Tested it out, works great with the Windows Ten and all the EAX environmental sound worked great! Alchemy also works to get direct sound functionality for older games.
