TalonSoft's The Operational Art of War Vol I: 1939-1955 won nearly a dozen Wargame of the Year awards. After publishing two additional editions of the game (Elite and WoTW) and one add-on, designer Norm Koger followed it with The Operational Art of War II: Modern Battles 1956-2000. The second major game of the series included more than two dozen historical and "what if" battles ranging from Korean conflicts of the mid-50s to Vietnam and Desert Storm. Volume II was followed by an add-on battlepack that expanded gameplay with scenarios centered in Kosovo.<br><br>The Operational Art of War II: Modern Battles 1956-2000 -- Elite Edition combines the original game with The Operational Art of War: Flashpoint Kosovo expansion with several special features and new scenarios. Features include an event/political editor that provides a means for triggering events in historical and hypothetical scenarios, fully functional map, unit and scenario editors and an adjustable unit scale ranging from individual units to an entire corps.
