Nice Mouse for a Lap Top

I was in need of something that didn't take up a usb slot on my lap-top and this was the answer. It works great and is a laser mouse which means it works across most anything. It is basic but it was also said to have a long battery life. I haven't had it long enough to answer that, but that was a plus in my book. I didn't like how you install the batteries however; the top cover of the mouse is remove to do so and seem a bit cheaply made. Other than that your'll really like the mouse.

  • Top critical review

It's pretty alright if you can find it cheap.

These mice are probably of a decent design overall..I'm no specialist. It's got sort of a rubber coating on it so it feels good in the hand, better grip than a bare plastic one. Shape is a little strange but it doesn't cause me any problems, then again I'm not picky in the least... so yeah. Battery life seems pretty lousy with regular Ni-MH AAs and the Bluetooth Mouse Settings battery indicator for Win7 x64 shows fully charged batteries as only 50-60%. Being Bluetooth, it's prone to some cut-outs and moments where it has to reconnect or reconfigure itself, at least for mine. Its tracking seems pretty fair, nothing abysmal about it, it's a fairly decent mouse when it's working and I actually quite like it. Would I have paid like 30 bucks for it, even brand new? Nah. Was this mouse normally sold in the 10-15 dollar price range, it'd be a great deal. Get far past $20 and your options are gonna start showing up and improving really quick.

  • Of the best quality for this class of mice

This is one of the best BT mice I've ever used as far as compatibility goes. Other and less expensive mice can be somewhat intermittent on some platforms, but this mouse has been pretty consistent on all of the platforms and devices that I've used it on... from older Android and Windows devices and on the now the iPad OS interface. You've done a good job with this mouse HP.

  • Great for the price.

Used this as a mouse for a $40 Windows tablet. It is responsive and connects instantly every time. I like that it uses a pair of AA batteries - AAAs don't last nearly as long. Comfortable to use as well and I like the scroll wheel.

  • Good mouse

Bought a few more of these for other computers. Like the actual Bluetooth, not a USB dongle plugged in somewhere. Usually go a couple months on lithium AA batteries (daily use, and never turned off.). Scroll wheel has detent (click), so if you want a smooth scroll wheel this is t the one for you. Seem to be reasonably well made, decent weight. Haven’t had any failures on 3 yr old mouse.

  • HP X4000b Wireless Bluetooth Mouse - NO Dongle

HP X4000b Wireless Bluetooth Mouse - NO Dongle Really comfortable to hold and use. Nice ergonomics. Does NOT have a Dongle, so it needs to be paired with a computer that already has Bluetooth capability / enabled, or provide a separate Bluetooth dongle for it. No issues with Windows 10. Overall it is a very nic

  • High quality with bluetooth convenience

I bought the mouse with bluetooth to free-up my USB connections, so the convenience is excellent. What I don't like is the large size (to me) which is not convenient. Otherwise a very good purchase.

  • Bluetooth may not work

After numerous attempts my HP laptop still would not recognize this Bluetooth mouse. I tried the unit on my HP desktop and it connected immediately. A USB wireless mouse had no issues with the laptop. So be advised that you could have issues with a Bluetooth connection. I will stay with a USB wireless device in the future.

  • Bluetooth mouse that is really responsive.

Of the many bluetooth mice that I have tried, this mouse works better than any other. The battery life is excellent - lasting the 5-6 months that they claim. How do they do this? The mouse puts itself to sleep when not in use and when you move it or click, it wakes up in a second or two. Changing batteries is very simple when the time comes. I now use four of these on different computers, very happily.
