Exactly as described, and in good shape, considering how old these binders are. Possibly in better shape than the smaller ones I currently have that I use to store my card collections. I already have four of those binders blinders that were given to me by my mother-in-law from her father, so this item definitely did find a good home . These are well constructed with metal hinges, tough, and study, and as the saying goes "they don't make him like they used to."
