    Good value, capacity and performance match

    What can you expect from 7200rpm NL SAS HDD? From performance point of view it is almost the same as SATA HDD of the same rpm and prodaction year. Linear read and write speed is about 175MBs at the beginning of the drive and less than 90MBs at the end. Also the drive should benefit from twice large cache size 128mb(64MB on SATA models for desktops) especially in write operations, which is good if your SAS controller doesn't have cache memory. Combined with better reliability, good capacity and SCSI command set, may be a good choice for some applications.
