    as usual, kadee couplers add extra value and appeal to my model trains. I have used them for years with no issues.easy to install and gauge, just watch out for those micro springs they fall in to the burmuda triangle or the black hole near my workplace at the blink of an eye, a sneeze or at the minimal shake of my unsteady fingertips. thankfully, Kadee usually includes an extra spring or two in their packages, be careful when opening a new envelope, they fall out and are hard to see. I pick them up with a moistened fingertip then deposit them in a small container for later use should the unfortunate time come when I need to replace one in my knuckle coupler. I have found a flat toothpick works well to place them. follow the instructions on the package, thats all I can say.

    I would recommend switching to #148 which are newer and a lot easier to install.

    These are OEM items package from the factory in paper packaging. Moisture over the years has gotten into the packages causing rust on the iron parts and mildew on the brass springs. I don't think I would use the brass spring as they have weakened from the mildew.

    Very good

    The couplers were very nice to put together, though as these are small pieces they are easy to loose. They are really nice and easy to put together, once together and set they work and look very nice. What I like is the all-metal design in the couplers, they'll be very durable as long as the couplers are installed correctly.

    I am pretty sure I will use these changing over my cars from Hook Horn to regular couplers or at least teh ones I can use the #5's on.
