This is one of King's best. No ghosts, ghouls, or vampires, just people and the frailties of humans. I do think his best writing is about human nature. I've always loved Stephen King and all his books but the long walk is my all-time favorite and always has been! I've read it a lot of times. It really makes you fall in love with the characters and you're walking along side them. You feel their pain and every other emotion that is described.
