Superb service. I asked on the condition and edition of the book, and I was happily answered in turn, and was furnished with images of the book too. The seller delivered a book that somewhat exceeded my expectations, and I was happily surprised when it arrived today, on time, and well-packaged. I hope to do business with you all again. You have my recommendations.

Listed as used, no mention that this is an ex-library book with stickers on cover. That would be helpful in listing as bought as a present. Have managed to clean up, quick delivery, well packaged. Thank you

  • Boulton and Watt by Samuel Smiles.

There is very little that i could not like about Samuel Smiles, the author of this very fine book about the lives of the steam engine pioneers Boulton and Watt, this being one of many set down by this highly talented writer on the subject of the "great men" of his age. Samuel Smiles had the great advantage over later authors when writing on the subject of the pioneers of the Industrial Revolution that he was a contemporary of many of them and in that respect had a very good understanding of the age in which they lived and the ideals that motivated them and the great changes that they sought to achieve and frequently did. Samuel Smiles was a very close friend of George Stephenson the railway pioneer and his son Robert who went on to become one of Englands finest civil engineers in his own ...
