Much as 1999's Pokémon Yellow offered gentle enhancements to the basic story and gameplay of the original Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue games, Pokémon Crystal is based on the second-wave Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver releases. <br><br>Though it follows the same story told in the Gold and Silver versions, Pokémon Crystal has some new options and special features. For the first time, gamers have the choice to play as a female trainer in this version. Also, just as Pokémon Yellow included a special Pikachu, trainers are aided by an unusual Suicune in this release. Pokémon Crystal is designed to offer a complete Pokémon experience for those new to the ubiquitous phenomenon and additional challenges for seasoned trainers who simply have to catch 'em all.

    Very good value

    The cartridge had some unexpected internal dirt but this was minimal. The price was fair given that the save battery was dead. The label was really nice and the cartridge itself in nice shape. The game plays perfectly.

    Game clock only issue

    It's good for a simple playthrough for nostalgia but the game clock feature only runs while in game so night and day cycles in game take for ever

    Good, Worth The Money

    This is a nice replica of the original game. No issues so far in the early gameplay. The game did freeze twice on me though out of nowhere - so common saves are needed. The other issue I had (not a big deal) is the last save file with the number of Pokemon caught has transferred to my file (but not the actual pokemon).

    Amazing

    This just might be my new fav gbc game! It's basicly red/blue using the crystal engine. The custom player sprites are really well done and the game is very fun and adds a new twist to a classic and timeless game. The clock doesn't work and there are a few sound glitches, but that's normal for custom games, so it's really not a problem at all. Overall a great game and a good value. Update! After playing through it, (7 hours later) it does turn into Pokemon crystal after the s.s Anne, super good game!

I really wish Nintendo would re-realise these games on the nintedo switch but unfortunately they are way behind when it comes to importing their classic video games so for now buying physical cartridges are the only way to play it anymore besides emulation or having it downloaded on a 3DS.
