My preferred work camera
I use a camera a LOT in my work taking lots of photo in all kinds of conditions, and rapidly. These are representative photos and not studio type photos. It is also great for personal family use. Consequently I have had to replace my camera every 6-24 months BECAUSE I DROPPED IT! I try to keep the strap around my wrist which has saved my camera many times. EACH NIKON I have had of this model works exactly the same as the first one so I know what to do in certain conditions, what to expect, and I get necessary, quality photos each time. Aside from tragically dropping one, it SUCKS the juice out of batteries quickly, which I was forewarned of in the beginning so I have rechargeable batteries & plenty of them as well as plenty of one timers. WHAT I FOUND WITH TWO OR THREE OF THIS MODEL NIKON
I have a few other digital cameras, but I find that this is the one that I carry with me (in the car) and the one that I grab for a quick shot. It Does not jump when I hit the shutter release button ~ like my Fuji camera does. Therefore no blurry photos! My other camera has all kinds of bells and whistles, and if I have time for a tripod, etc. I may use one of them, but for everyday use I find myself grabbing my ever-ready Nikon COOLPIX! Knew what I was buying.
I already own one, It has been a really great camera, bought in new a number of years ago. Use it for my HOA inspection business but dropped it on the concrete. Still took great photos but the battery door was cracked and kept popping open. Bought this one I am reviewing for the case but the used camera sure looks brand new to me. Nikon is the Camera to Get!
This camera is easy to use. Point and Shoot is all you have to do. It takes nice clear pictures. A very nice feature of some Nikons is to take a picture and review it on your screen and be able to zoom it larger and tell the camera to save it as you changed it. This is my third L610. I damaged the last two. As I wanted to stick to this camera as it has been a great camera. I bought another one so I can use the software already on my computer. I'm happy with this purchase
the camera did have one problem, the memory card won't "click" and lock into it's slot...the spring is always pushing it out...however, this is the 4th of this model camera I have owned, and all of them have a problem of the battery door not staying securely shut and letting the batteries drop out. The camera works fine so long as the door is held shut and I had been thinking about adding a rubber strap to securely hold the battery door closed anyhow...with my new rubber strap both memory card and batteries are secure and this was a good price, so I am quite content.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
