An exquisitely detailed model - highly recommended!
In line with the stringent requirements now expected from the major manufacturers of model railway products, as demanded by many hobbyists, it is true to say that the vast majority of locomotives, etc., which are currently available on the market, amount to superbly detailed miniature representations of the real thing & thus I can certainly state that this "4MT" does not disappoint either! Whilst I'm far from being what is known as a "rivet counter", in terms of how accurately this product compares to the prototype, there's no doubt that Bachmann have created yet another stunning reproduction, which will grace any layout accordingly. Plenty of attention has been undertaken to ensure that as many fine detailing features as possible have been included & hence it is readily apparent why locomotives typically sell for between £100 - £250 nowadays, given the tooling & workmanship involved. Indeed & given the cost of these, for those who are contemplating purchasing models such as this one & with the intention of running them on their layout, particular care should be taken to avoid any collisions, derailments or similar mishaps occurring in service, otherwise, these small parts will obviously be vulnerable to incurring damage or breakage accordingly.
Summing up, I would have no hesitation in recommending the acquisition of this product, in fact, I was so pleased with mine that have subsequently purchased two more, these being Bachmann's black liveried versions (featuring different loco numbers & early/late B.R. crests)!
