A solid do anything
I got this to compliment another QNAP device for external storage, but wanted it to be flexible with other operating systems, which it does well. Speed is reasonable but constrained by the NAS and not the device. Setup of RAiD5 was simple with some quick reading. Noise in not an issue unless it's being worked pretty hard, at which point a fan will spin up.

Noice box, good quality, does what it says.
It connects easily both to my PC or to my QNAP NAS. I'm not using the power of RAID - just simple drives. It would be nice if the USB-C port were Gen 2 (10Gbs), its only Gen 1 (5Gbs), but I knew that going in, so fair enough.

Easy Setup, works great
Very easy initial setup and configuration. Provides options for direct connect to host computer or connection to a QNAP NAS. I opted to connect to my existing QNAP NAS and setup was accomplished through the NAS Web GUI.
