First, the book I bought was used, but was in excellent condition. I couldn't tell it was used. The content of the book itself is very good. Probably, as most people would say, I wish I knew all this when I was younger. The only negative is that the book was written a few years ago, and there are differences now in how people pay. It says we should balance our checkbook. This was fine for the time when people used checks, but debit cards are mainly used now. An update to the book with suggestions on how to track spending would be beneficial to today's spender. In all, I loved the book.
