  • Rock and Roll History

If you grew up when I did and experienced the end of the 60's and into the 70's, then this DVD is history. The only negative is that it is not just a DVD of the concert itself. Because it comes from the 60's, it has those spacey moments intertwined throughout the concert that try to take you into space. Back then that was the goal. Now, I would have preferred to watch the entire concert. Imagine Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood as young rock gods performing their only album, especially Can't Find My Way Home! Even to watch the madman himself, Ginger Baker drum is worth the price of the DVD. If you are into Rock and Roll as I am, this is must! • A passable show, certainly not a very good one

The potential was there - all the elements were in place. I'm going to say that Steve Winwood was ill-prepared for the show - he was either drunk, stoned or both. His normally stellar vocals are strained, he hits lot of off-key notes and forgets many lyrics. Clapton and Grech are almost robotic and give sterile performances, while Ginger is Ginger; he's the only one of the four who really showed up. Too bad, really - it just comes across as an off day for the band.

Eric Clapton & Steve Windwood, just as they've about to take off into super stardom! AND GINGER BAKER too! The BEST & ONLY VIDEO of this supergroup! Great shortlived group!
