Produced at the height of the Iraq War and created by the same individuals responsible for the acclaimed FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, the medical drama series MERCY takes place not in the Middle East but on the home front. Taylor Schilling (DARK MATTER) stars as Veronica Flanagan Callahan, an RN who returns to her hospital post after a tour of duty in Iraq, knowing far more about medicine than all of the residents put together. In negotiating the ins and outs of the hospital ward and her own personal entanglements and attempting to deal with cantankerous, occasionally irrational patients, , Nurse Callahan recognizes the necessity of sticking close by her nurse colleagues, Chloe Payne (Michelle Trachtenberg) and Sonia Jimenez (Jaime Lee Kirchner. Additional supporting actors in the series include James Le Gros, James Tupper, Guillermo Diaz and Diego Klattenhoff. This box set contains all 22 Season One episodes, full and complete as they originally aired, plus bonus features including an unaired Director's Cut of the final episode, commentary with cast and crew, a gag reel, and ten behind-the-scene interviews with the program's stars.
