This Wi-Fi range extender has a great set-up interface. I recommend this Linksys unit the RE6300.

I've used this with an additional exact unit in tandom configuration with a daisy change method. It works. I extended and connect the Gigabyte port and now have a network with wires and wireless. I have a MCSE, A+, and future Network+. If you're not a computer tech then you are in luck with these types of software 'graphic user interface' (GUI) like saying Louie but with a G instead of an L. Read the manuals first that you get an if in a jam always call technician support to get it setup and then you are back to doing something else that is worthwhile instead of aggravating yourself.

    IT'S A JOKE!

Set-up process was rather simple & easy to achieve, the range, however, NOT as good as expected: it worked only when sat VERY NEAR to the main router. I had a 2400sqft 2-story house, the gateway (modem/router) is on 2nd floor; blind spots on 1st floor didn't improve with this so-called "extender". I think I'll go with a mess next.

  • Good value. Good performance so far.

I installed a metal shed near my house as a workshop. I want wifi in the shed. I could pick up the wifi from the house, but going through walls and then the metal of the shed, the signal was weak. This wifi extender as able to pick up the house wifi and give me good signal inside the shed. I will be insulating the walls and putting chip board up on the walls. I suspect the house wifi signal may drop a bit more, so I'm hoping this extender can keep the signal boosted inside the shed. I hope I don't have to resort to running a wire from the router.

  • Works great!

I had previous experience with a wifi extender so set was easy. Connections have been strong and far reaching on 2.4GHz and extremely strong but no so far reaching on 5GHZ network. Completely happy with the buy.

  • Excellent, Highly Recommended Device

A already use a Linksys wireless router but It took a bit of time to set up the extender because it was used. Once I cleared the previous set-up information, It was very easy to connect to it with my laptop. It immediately identified my wireless network. My wireless router is in a back computer room so my living room devices only had a signal strength of 3 to 3-1/2 bars. The extender software identified the best location for it and now my other devices all have a full 5 bars of signal strength. I'm very happy with this device.
