Fingers crossed
The cross shaft seal on my worn out 94 KLX 650 with 42,000 miles literally blew out of the cases. Oil pouring out a quart a minute. Seal was just hanging on the shaft. (Was lucky to get bike home without it blowing up.) Now after installing this new seal and ride 200 miles, this new seal seems to be holding well. If it's still holding after another thousand miles, I will be satisfied that all is well and it was simply just a problem with the old seal and not the cases.
