    A must have add on.

    This Wi-Fi module exceeds expectations. It was extremely easy to install. It is working perfectly. The WiThrottleLite app is excellent also and a great compliment to the module. If you have a MRC dcc system, it is a must have add on. Great job MRC.

    Good idea; poor execution

    From the start, that was a fantastic idea. However, the execution of the idea is poor. It looks like it's been rushed to market. There are several non-starters for me: 1. You need to connect your phone to the internal Wi-Fi of the module, so no more internet access to your phone or tablet while you're running your trains. I have a Philips Christmas tree with programmable lights. It too has its own Wi-Fi network but at least, you can configure it to connect to your own network. Can't do that with the Prodigy WiFi Module. 2. The application is very poorly developed and has a lot of bugs. Again, it has a feeling of a rush to market. The interface is clumsy. There are many bugs. I have 2 Broadway Limited steam locomotives, the latest Big Boy and the Challenger. When trying to start them with ...

    Easy setup. Works well.

    Download the app, set up a direct Wi-Fi connection between your phone and this device, and you can use your phone as an additional cab. Works great. Very smooth. The ability to label the function keys to their corresponding functions, (e.g. "whistle") is a great feature. Only small drawback is that the throttle is used by moving your finger across the screen. This works well but is not as direct as holding on to a physical knob.

    Absolutely the easiest Wi-Fi installation I have EVER done! Take it out of the box, plug in the cord, access the Wi-Fi signal with your device, start your favorite model railroad control app and PLAY!
