Product Information
John Cusack stars in James McTeigue's period thriller. It's 1849 and times are bad for Gothic horror writer Edgar Allan Poe - his glory days are far behind him and he can't even scrape together the money for the alcohol he craves. Then a killer begins terrorising Baltimore with a series of grisly slayings based on Poe's celebrated stories and the author finds himself in the spotlight. Once cleared of involvement in the case, Poe is invited to help Detective Fields track down the murderer. But things take on a greater urgency when Poe's beloved Emily Hamilton is kidnapped and he's sent a note by the killer telling Poe that he must publish a new story... Also starring Brendan Gleeson.
