  • The Custer Handbook

Of all the books on Custer that I’ve read, the most gripping & entertaining, & very well researched. You won’t find every known fact about Custer here, but this book covers just about all the basics & is written in an engaging way. My biggest quarrel with this edition is that it doesn’t have the great photos my old original paperback version carried!

  • Gracefully written, sedulously researched

I read this book many years ago and am looking forward to reading it again. This new edition includes some vivid fold-out illustrations.

  • Great Read

While I've only read approx. 225 pages, I can say it's a very interesting read about Custer, the troopers of the 7th Cav, and the Battle of Little Bighorn. I've read 6 or 7 other books on the subject, but have learned new information that I'd never read before. All in all, I've found this to an engaging read for the Indian Wars student of history.

  • Custer had many nick names during his life; this was one of them.

Nice hard bound edition complete with dust cover!

  • Full of historical facts.

Very well written. Rambles some, though.
