  • Superb and well-made tool for all types of chains; easy to use

Superb quality chain breaker tool. Solid workman ship and very comfortable to use. Be sure to leave the sliding shelf and retaining bolt alone. It's natural to try to tighten it. Do NOT. It's suppose to self adjust to different chain widths. Also, making sure the tool pin is centered completely straight on the chain rivet, the area you want to break and it will give fantastic results and prevent damage to the pin. This is has a more solid feel and requires less force to break than my other 11 speed chain specific tool that I've been using for under 1 year in which one side of the fixed shelf snapped off for no reason.

  • Very smooth quality tool.

This is an amazing chain cutter it's one of the best quality ones I have ever used. There are other ones from other chinesde made companies (not to say this park too wasn't made in china) because it was but it just feels better quality. iPhones are also made in China and are very high quality phones. Anyways back to the review. I had to cut 6 links off my chain to size it correct and all I did was put the chain in the tool and twisted the top. It drove the pin out so effortless that I didn't even think it went all the way through when I looked the chain was already cut at the correct spot. It was very pleasant to use. Yes other tools and cheaper chain cutters can also cut your chain but it just won't feel the same. You know you're using a quality tool when you use this Park Tool. I just don't have anything bad to say about Park Tool they're quality tools for bikes. Period. Will buy all my bike tools from Park tool from now on. Don't cheap out get the tool it will last you a life time. That's my advise.

  • Darn good tool.

I cant tell difference between this one and the CT-3.2. I purchased specifically for new upgrade install of a SRAM AXS Force system with chain. SRAM states this tool is required. Park website states CT-3.2 will not work on SRAM AXS chain. I held them next to one another and could see little to no difference. But as the SRAM system was over 2 G 35$ isn't really a-lot of money to be safe. Works like all my other Park tools flawlessly. I love Park tools.

  • Heavy duty tool. Love the replacable pin feature.

The seller accurately described the tool. It had a cross-threaded pin which he could not install without it going in crooked. I managed to rectify the problem and my bicycles are up and running. The tool is of excellent quality and I can now easily replace the pin with new ones whenever I want although the old cross-threaded pin is doing fine.

  • Park chain tool

Typical Park tool. Works great, built well, reasonably priced. Been using the OG version of this tool since 1981 but it didn’t really work so great as chains kept getting narrower and narrower. Now I can use the “good tool”when I help people with 11-speed and up and leave the multi-tool in my saddle pack where it belongs.

  • Heavy duty

Park's chain tool is really heavy duty....have no problems breaking chain pins. Strong and efficient. No cons, but if I wanted to nit pick: rather too big and heavy for use out on the road or trail. Park does make a lighter version, though.

  • Park Tools is worth it.

I bought a cheaper one, not a Park Tool, when I used it, it would not release the pin. In fact it bent my chain. Once I got the Park Tool chain removal tool, it worked wonders. I truly believe in this company.

  • Great Vendor

Park Tool at a great price. Mine was a returned item but it looks and functions like new. Best thing about Park Tools is you can get replacement parts almost forever.

  • A little advice can go a long way.

A robust chain splitter. When splitting a chain, never push the pin all the way out. Leave it stuck in the back link, so it can be pushed back into place if reused.

  • Great tool

I don’t like to buy cheaply made tools. I’m a retired electrician and I have had tools break before. Any time I bought a quality tool, it would last for years. Park tools are great, I can tell that the chain splitter will last forever.
