Great Product for failing, leaking, aging outdoor faucets!!

worked well. and the thick rubber washer takes the place of that annoying rope packing material. I still don't know how that faucet actually works. The long shaft must connect to something internal to shut the water on and off. The instructions were a bit vague and pictures were not real detailed. They could have used numbers also. But he repair kit did work. The new knobs were probably unnecessary but nice for a faucet installed in 1979. I must say Woodford does have quality components. I threw away many indoor faucets that were corroded or unrepeatable. All in all the kit is not expensive and worked very well for me. Jim

  • The right parts to make the repair.

Actually used all the parts. I polished up the existing rod with steel wool. I had to cut off the old valve handle (it had been on for 43 years), so having another on hand was a good thing. I could have cleaned the packing nut, but since a new one was included certainly it was simpler to use the new one.

  • Woodford Repair Kit Rk -14-MH

This repair kit It replaces all the rubber parts you need to stop small leaks. It also comes with a metal handle which is nice. I would recommend you use all the new parts when repairing to get the correct fit with the new packing rubber. It only takes about 15 minutes to do the complete job of removing and installing the new parts. Easy DIY project.

  • A good fix

Took the old one out on the front of the house. We have well water so the handle was welded on the stem by years of minerals. I cut the handle off to get at the stem, replaced the parts and put the new handle on the stem and it worked like a charm. I also replaced the outside faucet on the back of the house and it also had a handle that would not come off. I cut the old handle off replaced the parts and it works like new. A plumber wanted to change me $880. I did the job for less that $50.

  • Little expencive but great product to rebuilt a woodford model 14

No more drips on both of my faucet front and back of the house. My wife is so happy. Only took me 15 minutes to rebuilt each faucet. Little pricey but with metal handle, washers and new screws, indeed a great buy. Highly recommended
