Versatile Trestle Set for all 'O' Gauge Track
MTH has sold this sturdy trestle set for many years. Lionel rolling stock, like the Auto Loader cars, that cannot pass under the flimsy Lionel trestle sets can be used with the MTH trestle set because it is taller. With 'O' gauge track, Lionel trestles work fine for trollies and inter-urban cars, passing over 'standard' consists, but there are container cars and the like that need higher overhead clearance. The great thing about the MTH trestles is that they have a removable base that adds another 7/16" of height; used without and you can fit these in tight spaces, with you have higher clearance. MTH provides options for several track type, but for my 'O' gauge tubular track layout I just screw the track screws right into the top of the trestle body. (Different brands have different screw arrangements.) I have two overhead lines on Lionel track and one on three MTH sets... for now.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
