      Lighting up the room...

      This is a good quality product (as to be expected), and good value too. I purchased this for use with my existing batteries. I have a drill, which I don't use often enough, and the torch helps to keep the batteries in good condition. Plus, I can see in the dark, two birds and all that! This was the most reasonably priced item available, though, it was on offer...My only concern is that you can't change the bulb. Sealed unit. As it is LED, this shouldn't be a problem for the life of the torch. And by then I could break the seal to replace if needed. Still recommended on quality alone.

      Great synergy.

      This is the third one I have bought. It is an excellent well made lamp. Design is good and easy to position and use. In the recent power cuts we could light a whole room with one. The best bit was the batteries lasted many hours. The clincher was that I have several De Walt cordless power tools and garden tools and as result six 5Ah rechargeable batteries on hand. None of which ran out during the 3 days we were off. Great synergy.

      Brighter than expected

      Great light weight torch, run time is crazy long, been using it every night for two weeks with a 1.3a battery and still going strong. Did have a China torch with 3.7v battery's, that's brighter but the battery life is crap, so the dewalt is better for me great for working on cars with the moving head. I've been considering this torch for awhile now or another set of batteries, glad I chose the dewalt. Small LED but of good quality. Recommend

      Excellent product

      DEWALT Torch DCL040 Light XR - Body Only is an excellent torch light. It is convinient for me because it uses the same XR batteries as my De Walt combi drill. The light beam coming out of it is excellent with a strong centre spot and the large difused circle of light around the central spot. It is light-weight and easy to use.

      Very nice bright quality torch.

      Quality torch with a very bright bulb, the light beam it emits has a spot beam and a flood beam of light combined, seems to be very economical on the battery as well. Well recommended, especially if you can purchase one under £20.
