I love this Fray Check by Dritz.

I love this Fray Check by Dritz. I used this seam 'glue' 20+ year ago and made the bottle stretch for many years until it finally ran out. It has a great shelf life. It sticks fibers well so they survive washings. It has very little odor. I tried many other (more expensive) fabric glues and they just do not work well - they make a thick gluey mess, not tidy repairs, and many are too toxic and smelly. Dritz fray check is perfect for fixing hems, little holes, small loose strands of thread and almost invisible fixes if you do it carefully. Eg. I repaired a hole in fine fabric mesh and you cannot see the hole now.

Fray Check keeps ends from fraying, threads knots tight, and cuts on ribbons and trims from unravelling.

Keeps ends from fraying. Just a dab will keep thread knots from unraveling. Use to keep ribbon cuts clean. Just a little bit will finish off any button hole and ensure you have a clean cut. It works for me in so many ways. I wouldn't be without it, ever.

  • Sewer's little helper !

I've used Fray Check for almost 50 years, I wouldn't be without it ! It does just what it's supposed to do, it seals the fabric edges without leaving a thick gluey mess, it's almost MAGIC ! If you sew, you NEED it !

  • Valuable part of any sewing portfolio

This is a must-have have if you ever work with specialty fabric that likes to unravel. Just run it along the edge right after you cut it and it's not going anywhere, even with a lot of handling. Definitely worth its salt ;)
