Reviews
Fangoria - More drama and offbeat humor than horror and scares... A welcome and unique twist on the tired vampire mythos., Chicago Sun-Times - Bloody, sexy and violent, the show is also both occasionally funny and frightening., TV Guide - Graphically sexy and scary, and often wildly funny... a broadly entertaining, deliciously twisted slice of modern Southern Gothic.

Additional Information
TRUE BLOOD chronicles the backwards Louisiana town of Bon Temps...where vampires have emerged from the coffin, and no longer need humans for their fix.
Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin, Academy Award winner for THE PIANO) works as a waitress at the rural bar Merlotte's. Though outwardly a typical young woman, she keeps a dangerous secret: she has the ability to hear the thoughts of others. Her situation is further complicated when the bar gets its first vampire patron - 173-year old Bill Compton (Steven Moyer) - and the two outsiders are immediately drawn to each other. The franchise begins with Sookie Stackhouse trying to solve a strange series of murders that are taking place in her local town in series 1. In series 2, we see an anti-vampire group called the Fellowship of the Sun church that is out to gain control over the local town and stop the vampires, including Bill Compton who Sookie Stackhouse is in love with. Series 3 introduces Alcide, a werewolf who helps Sookie track down Compton who has been kidnapped and series 4 Sookie discovers the truth about her heritage and powers and struggles to decide which path to take for her future. Includes all episodes from series 1-5.
