    Excellent disc for my purpose

    While trying to learn the Russian language I wanted something I could listen to while driving. I regularly make a 4.5 hour trip. The segments on the disc are about 30 to 35 minutes each. At the end of each segment I can pull of the road, stop, start the next segment and resume the trip. Except for a few explanatory comments in English the segments are exclusively Russian. Exactly what I wanted. I can listen to the language at regular speed (or perhaps slightly slower) by native speakers. To use this disc as lessons one needs to also look at the PDFs on the disc. I can't do that while driving. No matter because all I wanted was to listen to the language so that I could begin to understand what others are saying.

    Very basic, seems a workbook may have went with the original CD.

    It appears to originally have a workbook that went with it. I have been studying Russian for some time. It did not meet my needs but may help someone at a lower level of study. For the price, it's worth it if you are trying to get started and get a basic understanding.
