Better than expected
These side covers are half the price of the competitor's and look great. I would have been happy with a flat black or even just primed pcs that I would have had to finish myself, but these were already chrome and look GREAT on my 97 Virago 750. Also, there was no fitting or rigging to be done. They went on perfect right out of the package with NO problems.

Does not fit as tightly as oem side covers..
Covers look nice and are the right size but do not fit tightly on the same way as the OEM side covers do.. will have to modify to get them to stay on my 1984 xv700.. Oem side covers have rubber around internal plastic clips to ensure snug fitment. These do not. Disappointing. Will stick with the original side covers for now until I figure out a way to make this work. Could have saved the money

This set actually FIT so I don't have to worry about buying ANOTHER set.
I've had to buy side covers for my 94 XV1100 multiple times. The original even fell off while riding and it wasn't noticed. Original covers were painted the same color as the tank and fenders. All the new pairs offered have been paintable, or were simi-chrome. These are the same simi-chrome and so far has been very durable and attractive. I guess that after enough people complained about the ease of losing them, somebody listened and corrected the design. It still stinks to have to buy a complete pair when it was always the right side cover that fell off. None the less, good design, I have a battery cover once again and don't look like a MacGuyver rigged ride.I've had to buy side covers for my 94 XV1100 multiple times.
