Makes perfect rice every time. So easy to use, and fast. I was able to cook rice and steam vegetables at the same time. Did have some brown residue at the bottom of the pot.

You cannot fit three cups of rice in this 6 cup rice cooker. It will overflow when cooking. Bought this 6 cup rice cooker for my son and daughter in-law. My rice cooker is a 6 cup cooker and I can put in 3 cups of dry rice and get a large pot of rice. This cooker is very small and will not feed more than 2 people in my opinion. They have 4 children and have to cook 2 pots of rice whereas my 6 cup rice cooker would feed us all. I've purchased many 6 cup rice cookers like this one over many years and never had one that makes as little rice as this one. Maybe it's just black & decker that makes them like this. I don't know but will never buy a 6 cup black & decker. My son said it works fine but just way too small.

This Black & Decker Cooker is the perfect size for the frugal cook. Compact and rests on counter-top perfect for the apartment dweller that is limited on space. Easy to follow cooking tips and so nice to turn on and let it do its thing. Great for those that have limited to cook. Start it up and savor the finished food.

This little cooker is very easy to use and does a pretty good job on the rice. It is not perfect however. Once it switches off from cooking and into the warm mode if you don't pull pan off immediately it will burn the bottom rice in the pan. Also, be sure to add extra water if you are cooking long grain rice, which the directions do not instruct you.

Just right for two or three servings. Small size appliance easy to store. Easy to clean (don't put bowl in dishwasher with other stainless steel items as causes darking of exterior that will rub off on clothes & hands. Easy to hand wash. Lid allows steam (with starchy residual) to sputter out around edges, onto countertop unlike another model I've tried. Great for simple white rice; haven't used for more complicated brown or other type rices yet. All said, preparing rice with this steamer far easyier than a kettle.
