Love this blender. I use it much more than I ever thought I would. This device has brought up my cooking several notches. I had other less expensive stick blenders before but tired of replacing them every couple of years (the motors on the less expensive ones just die after a while). This one should last 20, 30 years or longer. But it is so fast, it can over beat, so I had to modify my immersion blender techniques that were lax due to prior experience with less powerful units.

I've tried many other immersion blenders but I always go back to Bamix. They are easy to use and even easier to clean. Takes up much less space than a typical blender or mixer but does the job of both. Highly recommend the Bamix.

I love immersion blenders. I cook a LOT and feed everyone around me in the neighborhood and at work. I have gone thru 3 or 4 over the years and heard about the Bamix. Not wanting to spend $100. or more to see if i really liked it, i bought a used one that is definitely an older (70's from the look and color brown and beige I would guess)model that had been taken care of. It came with 3 different blades, a small chopper that i use to grate small amounts of cheese, a medium size container used for blending and a stand to hold the whole kit and kaboodle. It feels beefy, it has some weight to it. I would imagine that the newer ones are lighter but maybe not. The first time i used it it sounded like it wasn't doing much. It is quite quiet in compairson to some of the others i have owned. The way the blade is designed does a much better job at pureeing soups on either speed. The blade looks nothing like what is on other blenders, this one looks vicious. I have used the blending blade for salad dressings, marinades and to whip cream and it does an awesome job. The last blade looks like a milk shake blender blade. I have not found a use for it yet but i'm sure i will. Overall, I am quite happy with my purchase, I paid $49.00 and would definitely spend $100.00 or better for a new one. I like that it has a slow speed and high. Not everything needs to be pulverized. I know that there are plenty of these that are in attics and basements, never taken out of their boxes. Hopefully they will find their way to e-bay and others can give them a try. Quiet, well engineered piece of equipment. If you love to cook and spend much of your free time in the kitchen,Go for It! You will not be disapointed. LolaRead full review
I spent a lot of time reviewing and looking at immersion blenders before deciding to purchae this one. I purchased the professional two speed Bamix Immersion Blender. I absolutely love it!! It is easy to use and easy to clean. It comes with 4 attachement blades: mincer, beater, whisk, and meat-mincer. I have used it to whip cream, make pudding, blend soups, make scrambled eggs, make smoothies, and a dessert. I would recommend this one to anyone looking to purchase an immersion blender. It has plenty of power at 200watts, and the attachements are easy to put on and take off. The drive shaft is 25% longer, so it is much easier to use in soup pots. Cleanup is simple, just run the metal drive shaft under water, and I like to fill a cup with water as well and turn it on, to make sure it is clean underneath. A perfect blender!Read full review
I bought the Bamix Immersion blender for my wife this Christmas. She likes to make Butternut Squash bisque and carrot soup, etc...and was looking for some sort of immersion blender. She has used it several times, and has stated it is the best gift I've ever gotten her (so much for the diamond earrings in 2007)! It is extremely easy to use - very simple to change the blades, and works with the touch of a button (high/low speeds). It does a fantastic job of blending soups/vegetables as well as making fruit smoothies (I'm sure there are many other uses - we just need to look up more recipes). Cleanup is simple - basically just rinse it off, and your done. WOW! I would recommend to anyone looking for a handheld blender to simplify their blending/mixing needs.
