I am a James Patterson fan and so I enjoyed the book very much. This book is nothing like the Alex Cross series. No gruesomeness. A highly sensitive book. I also have read all the Women's Murder Club books. I like Michael Bennett, too. And am now discovering all his other books and stacking up a unique collection to read. Mr. Patterson is an awesome writer!
Very sweet story, although somewhat misleading. In reference to the glioblastoma multiforme, no one survives that. I know because my husband passed away from this 23 years ago.

I have read many of James Patterson's novels, most are of the Crime/ Thriller genre. This book, Sam's Letters to Jennifer is not. It is simply a love story. The love is not just romantic love, but also family love between a young woman and her grandmother. Then once that is established, then Patterson gives us two tales of romantic love to ponder and enjoy. It was an easy read and enjoyable and I would recommend it to any lover of romance, young or older.
I love James Patterson's cleaver way of writing. He did an excellent job in Sam's Letters. I felt like I was part of the story. I enjoyed the book so well, that I sent it to my mother in TX to read. She then lent it to my grandmother and my aunt. Our whole family has loved this book. It was a nice, easy, fast read, with lots to keep you curious??
This book is great!
