I had retired my complete X10 system but had it stored away. I built a man-cave in my basement and the overhead LED lights produced screen glare that really annoyed me. I decided to buy a remote controlled wall switch to make life easier. The WS469 was just the device. It really took some time to connect it since I was dealing with an existing 3-way switch but once I figured it out, it worked perfectly. It make a soft clicking sound but it's barely noticeable.

Modern LED bulbs can't be controlled by conventional dimming X10 switches. The WS469 solves this problem and fits in a normal switch box. I found it easy to install. The instructions are very clear. Before purchasing ii to replace an existing switch make sure there is a neutral wire available. Not all switch boxes have a neutral wire present. The on-line information was explicit about this as are the directions. The product works as advertised and I think it is a great value.

I have not used it as of this time. I going to replace an X10 incandenscent dimming switch. I'm sure it will work for LED lights.

Since the inception of LED lights, the older switches had issues with the lack if a filament to pass the signal. The relay design of these new switches eliminate this problem. BEFORE YOU ORDER, YOU MUST verify that you indeed have a neutral wire available to connect with. A lot of light switches only have a two wire cable, but one is a power feed and the other is used as a return power feed once the switch is flipped on meaning that there is no neutral in the switchbox. Sometimes you can pull in a wire, but in a lot of cases this is not possible. I had (3) 3-way switches that I wanted to upgrade, but a lack of neutral prevented that from happening. I did have others that I was able to use these switches with and very happy with them. Over time, I will have to rewire 2 of the 3 mentioned before, but it will be time consuming. If you are doing new construction, think about how wall switches are wired to be sure that you do have a full powered line to the switch box to give you full flexibility in the future for new technologies like these. THESE ARE A GREAT ADDITION TO THE X10 ARSENAL!Read full review

I used this for CFL and LED bulbs. I found that my LED bulbs would not shut off completely (remained on dimly) when using the electronic/triac type X-10 switch. The WS469 relay switch solved that problem. Works great!
