Silicone lid is not airtight
I bought this to make sauerkraut. Unfortunately the lid is just soft silicone that "plugs" the opening. It is not an airtight seal, so the airlock is pointless. The jar is too large, requiring at LEAST 2 heads of cabbage to fill it. The jar is made in China, using inferior glass. I recommend staying away from this one, and go with something with an airtight seal which will give you a prefect healthy ferment every time. I bought this to make sauerkraut.
