Before this phone I had the blackberry bold 9900, the passport, and the classic. The battery life is OK not worst not best. It's a very nice looking phone and performance is like an 8.5/10 for android. The keyboard is actually not that small like I read it has good feel and I have no problems on it I haven't used the touchkeys yet. the back of it doesn't sink in as much as people said unless u literally want to do that all day lol. With the keyboard out it is a pretty big phone but I prefer this size than the passport but I'm glad they kept the trackpad because I hate touching my screen. It's a good combination of the best of blackberry and android. With the marshmallow update it worked a lot smoother. I'm happy with my purchase. Over all I'd give this phone an 8.5/10 just wish the battery was slightly better but it's good for a days usage if your not a gamer like me. At least it supports quick charge. Good purchase if you can get this phone on less price than retail unlocked it's worth it. I had to go have it since I'm a blackberry lifer lol. Read full review

I like the fact that this phone has a physical keyboard and scroll sensors. It also has edge functions like Samsung phones. The issues that arise with this phone comes from its lack of memory, only 3GB. The applications constantly use up its resources and starts slowing down. After installing all my apps storage also became an issue. The UI needs adjustments. the scrolling list of applications makes it difficult to access apps quickly.

I've had one of these before and the priv i had before never had a battery die as quickly as this one does or have the same charging problems. The downfall to this style phone though is it runs hot, word of advice, leave the slider out to give it more ventilation as the design has no holes in the back for ventilation. As far as this phone, I like the phone but something is up with the company I bought the phone from. This battery takes all day to charge, it feels like it's used when i bought it new when taking that long to charge

I did not realize that you can not do a video call from the dial pad. Also the operating system does not work with all apps. Other than that, love the classic BlackBerry features.

I am very impressed with the product put out by BlackBerry. The Priv is a well built device that is functionally solid. Nothing about this phone feels cheap, from the materials used to construct it including the screen, camera, and keyboard, to the processing speed of the internal components, this phone checks all the boxes of a high end device. The integration of blackberry features including the hub of bb10 is seamless and I am glad that these efficiency components are present in this device. I strongly recommend this device if you are moving from bb10 to android, or from an android device. You won't be disappointed and the keyboard is a fantastic addition for writing emails or long text messages. Use the screen keyboard for everything else.

Great job BlackBerry! I love this phone! Super value for a super device! Great reception, speed of operation, and downloading time. Great security! The Camera is unreal. Feels great in the hand. Colors are vivid and beautiful. Great virtual keyboard. Love the hub! Goodbye Samsung Note 5 and IPhone 6, HELLO BLACKBERRY PRIV!

The PRIV comes with a physical "QWERTY" keyboard, which was my principal reason for getting it--however, the keyboard is so small that it defeats the purpose of having one--despite the phone being very big and cumbersome. To access basic features like texting and voicemail, you have to give Blackberry permission to access your phone numbers, location, calendar and who knows what else, which might be okay except it is also an Android so I have to give all of this same information to Google as well. It also only charges when it is turned off. Sound quality, reception, speed, battery life all good.

From The Design, To The Software, To The Camera This Is Hands Down The Best Phone Ever. Battery Life Is Good, Not Great. But Charging Is Super Fast. The Physical Keyboard Is Not As Cramped As Ppl Described. Im 6'1 And I'm Using The Keyboard Just Fine. Camera Is Very Smooth. Display Is Flawless. The Keyboard Is A Trackpad For Goodness Sake Lol. I Can't Keep It Down I Check It For Nothing. Front Speakers Are Nice. There's Way More To This Phone But If You Are Having Thoughts On Whether To Buy It Or Not, I'm Here To Tell You To Buy It. You Will Love It. Best Phone On The Market

I purchased this phone to replace an identical device that had a busted screen. It was around the same cost than if I had just replaced the screen alone. Since this device is "new" it does have a better battery life than my last one, but the signal antenna is far worse. Device has issue getting GPS service indoors and 4G service is nonexistent unless you live close to a tower. I have to drive for 6 miles before I receive service whereas with the exact same device prior to my purchase of this one, I would get at least one bar everywhere at my location to include indoors. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi does have similar reception compared to my older device this replaced. I have also had issues with the Android update, but I can't blame that on the device. I think it is just an issue with the software itself. The included cord on this specific purchase is not the standard Blackberry USB cord you receive with a new device, but nonetheless it does work. If I need a quicker charge, I just plug up to my fast charger in my car on my way somewhere. I will probably get rid of this device very soon as cellular reception is extremely important to my employment and the device will not consistently connect to the VOIP over wifi (hit or miss) and 4G fails frequently. I would say that if you live in a populated area with consistent service everywhere, then you might not have an issue with cellular service.Read full review

I searched high and low for a smart phone with a slider keyboard. I have long fingernails, need a slider. THis is the ONLY smartphone that has one. It's WAY smarter than my last smartphone, which was about 5 years old. All in all, I LOVE this phone. But I'm still learning it's personality afer 3 weeks. For example: A buddy of mine had two cells phones. One was local, one out of state. The local one showed up first on the old phone, but this phone it was reversed. I texted and texted and texted some more and he didn't respond. He's a little flakey but not that bad, I called, left a message, then panicked. looked up police reports, hospitals to call, blah blah blah, turns out I was texting the out of town number, he called me once he heard the voice mail (which was the right phone, go figure!) But I'm learning more each day...Read full review
