This is the deck I wished I would've had in the 80s with Dolby S and BLE as well as Flex. This deck sounds absolutely great! Dare I say CD type sound from a cassette, yes I do and I have a Nakamichi RX 202. The Pioneer isn't super sexy like the Nak but sound wise,I can't discern the difference especially when price is involved. However the Pioneer suffers from a weak amber colored display that fades away and you almost have to use a flashlight for viewing,it gets that bad. Dolby S is great too. Makes old tapes sound better when recorded on a quality tape. It's a little noisy too when switching sides of the tape when the auto reverse engages. Love this thing. Aside from the display it's great going on 26 years.

What a great tape deck! There's a setting where it plays both sides of each cassette on a loop, so I get nonstop music. The controls are intuitive. Crisp sound quality. Love this piece!

Great The quality of sound is very pleasing with minimal hiss. I will use my cassettes much more often now.

This deck is likely the best sounding machine you will find for under $100, I honestly prefer the CT-W series over my Marantz & TEAC decks despite the unarguably dim displays and less than featherlight door mechanism

It brings my 1960's stereo system back to life. Tapes are still a great way to enjoy music !
