    Edge 130 powerful bang for buck for gps device

    I have only had the edge 130 for a short time. This is replacing an edge 20. I am using the edge 130 with the garmin heart rate monitor. Easy to set up. Easy to use and powerful information provided I garmin connect app. Battery is much better on the 130. I tend to go on longer rides so the additional battery time is great. Able to pair the 130 with phone and see text messages etc, really a good value for gps and mapping and info for not a lot of $ relative to the more $$ and higher end devices.

    The big problem is no backlight at night

    Good quality and good looking, very light and small good for road bike, but 1, the biggest issue at least for me, is no backlight at night, Yes, you can manually turn on the backlight, but you need to press the two buttons many times to get into the deep manual to turn it on, I know the backlight will drain your battery very very fast, but at least Garmin can set up a button to just press one time to turn on or off as a choice. Even 35 USD cheap GPS has an auto backlight on with 10-20 hr battery life. 2, Manual and buttons design not that easy to use 3, Buttons feels not good, too hard to press

    A great cycling computer

    I am an avid cyclist and not necessarily a weight minimalist, but someone who prefers simple and effective components. This computer has all the features I need in a small package. It syncs with Vario, its very easy to setup, and the screen (while black and white) is crisp and perfect. Highly recommend to someone who doesn’t need a large color screen and doesn’t want to spend a small fortune.

    Small but mighty!

    I upgraded from my iGPSPORT iGS50E bike computer to the Garmin Edge 130. The screen is slightly smaller, but with 8 data fields it has everything I had before, plus I love the Wind Field app that has the temp, humidity, wind speed, and a real-time arrow showing the wind direction hitting your bike. All in the same little box so I can still use the other 7.
